VW Polo, VW Ameo & VW Vento launched in Black & White edition

Volkswagen has launched a Black & White edition of the Polo, Ameo and Vento in India. Interestingly, these special edition carlines will be available without any additional cost.

The VW Polo, VW Ameo and VW Vento’s Black & White edition comes equipped with stylish, sportier and aesthetic upgrades. The Black & White edition carlines include the following features:

  • Body graphics in contrasting colour
  • Black roof spoiler (Polo)
  • Black bootlid spoiler (Ameo & Vento)
  • R16 Portago alloy wheels
  • Black painted roof
  • Chrome fender ‘Black & White’ badge
  • Black ORVMs
  • ‘Black & White’ leatherette seat covers

The VW Polo and VW Vento’s Black & White edition are available in Candy White and Deep Black exterior colours. The VW Ameo Black & White edition is available in only Candy White. None of these special edition carlines has any mechanical changes.

Volkswagen offers the Polo and Ameo’s Black & White edition with the 1.0-litre MPI petrol engine producing 76 PS and 95 Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine developing 90 PS and 230 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, while the 7-speed DSG option is available in the sedan.

The VW Vento Black & White edition is available with a 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine (105 PS/153 Nm) paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, a 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine (105 PS/175) coupled to the 7-speed DSG transmission and a 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine (110 PS/250 Nm) married to a 5-speed manual transmission or the 7-speed DSG transmission.

The VW Ameo Black & White edition is available in only Candy White exterior colour, while the VW Polo Black & White edition and VW Vento Black & White edition are available in Deep Black as well.

By the start of 2020, Volkswagen will give the Polo and Vento a facelift and introduce a BS-VI compliant 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine in them. The Ameo will likely get phased out by March next year.
