Volkswagen has updated its locally manufactured cars in India with new equipment to have something new in the showrooms this festive season. The VW Polo, VW Ameo and VW Vento are available with new features and in a Connect edition.
The VW Polo, VW Ameo and VW Vento’s colour options now include a new Lapiz Blue colour, which sister brand Skoda introduced with the Rapid Onyx last month. Other new features include Moon stone coloured Radio surround trim, glove box light, rear USB charging port and 16-inch Portago Gray alloy wheels. Also, the hatchback has gained leatherette seat fabrics, while its GT variant sports chequered seat fabrics now.
The VW Vento now features a body-coloured rear spoiler. The Honda City rival is available with dual front side airbags now, which take the passive safety a notch higher. Also, there's an update for its Allstar variant - new 15-inch diamond-cut linas alloy wheels.
The VW Polo, VW Ameo and VW Vento’s Connect edition support the Volkswagen Connect app, an intelligent, connected vehicle assistant that offers a seamless connected car experience to the driver. The driver has to connect their car to their smartphone through a plug and play data dongle to the on-board diagnostics port of their car.
Once installed and connected via Bluetooth, the driver can use many different connected features, such as trip tracking, fuel cost monitoring, driving behaviour, location sharing, SOS call and service appointment. Volkswagen will offer the Connect edition at no extra cost.

The new VW Polo, VW Ameo and VW Vento’s prices range from INR 5.55 – 9.39 lakh, INR 5.65-9.99 lakh and 8.38-14.02 lakh respectively.
