Updates will be transferred from the 2015 VW Vento.
Volkswagen India will launch the VW Polo with added features by the end of this month, reports Team-BHP.
As per the report, the Polo gets cruise control, electrically foldable door mirrors and a cooled glove box. It is interesting to note that the same features also came with the Vento facelift earlier this year.
Standard features already available in the Highline trim are automatic climate control; speed-sensing electronic power steering; 4-speaker audio player with support for USB, aux-in, SD card and voice command; remote-controlled central locking with speed-sensing auto door locks; multi-function steering wheel and rear parking sensors among others.
Engines under the hood, from the updated Polo last year, would be the same 1.2-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel units. The petrol unit comes in 3- and 4-cylinder configurations, the latter being turbocharged and coupled to a 7-speed DSG transmission, with outputs of 74 and 103 bhp respectively. The diesel engine comes in 4-cylinder guise only, but in tunes of 89 bhp and 103 bhp, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The website also reports that the entire range is going to see a price increase of about INR 5,000 for the base variants and of approximately INR 15,000 for the top-end Highline version. The Polo is currently offered in three variants - Trendline, Comfortline and Highline.
