Maruti Suzuki is upgrading its products, adding new features, boosting fuel economy and balancing the price to keep the customers coming into the showrooms. After the A star facelift, the model next in line is the Maruti Suzuki Ritz also known as Splash in many international markets.
The Ritz facelift has been caught with camouflage many times during its testing phase in Gurgoan. The test mule was wearing heavy camouflage on the front suggesting at a few changes to the front fascia of the Ritz. But new photos have emerged on Facebook which give a clear indication of what to expect from the facelifted Ritz.
Major changes to the shape of the grill are evident. The fog lamp surrounds are completely redesigned. The front bumper has received major treatment making it resemble one that is used on the new Swift Dzire. We are expecting Maruti Suzuki to also throw in:
- VVT technology on the KB12 motor of the Ritz
- An interior upgrade with new colors or perhaps a mildly reworked central console
- Probably a 4-speed automatic from the Dzire
The new Ritz looks almost ready for production. However the next big launch from Maruti Suzuki with be the Ertiga in mid April. Expect the facelifted Ritz to follow suit.
