The TVS Motor Company has prepared a matte blue TVS Apache RTR 160 that has been spotted at a dealership recently. It is apparent that the company is planning to introduce this colour for the festive season.
Currently, the TVS Apache RTR 160 is offered in five colours - Yellow, Grey, White, Red and Black. The matte blue could be offered as a sixth colour, or it could be a limited version for the festive season. The chances of the latter being the case are less likely as there is no such indication (like special stickers or a slightly different design) on the spotted model. In any case, mechanical changes cannot be expected.
The RTR 160 is powered by 159.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with IDI-Dual mode digital ignition, that churns out 15.2 bhp maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 13.1 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Based on a Double Cradle SynchroSTIFF chassis, the Apache RTR 160 is suspended by a telescopic fork with 105 mm travel, and a pair of Monotube Inverted Gas-filled (MIG) shock absorbers. The bike is shod with 90/90-17 (front) and 110/80-17 (rear) tubeless tyres, that are stopped by 270 mm and 200 mm petal disc brakes at the front and rear respectively.
