Waiting period now between 2-4 months.
Speaking to ET Auto, Toyota Kirloskar Motor's marketing director, Mr. N. Raja divulged that the company has received 20,000 bookings for the Toyota Innova Crysta since its market launch a fortnight ago.
An older report suggested that a good extent of the bookings were for the top-end 2.8 ZX AT variant, which is priced at INR 20.78 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai). As of now, the Innova Crysta is only available with two diesel engines, both of which displace over 2000 cc. For cities that will implement NGT's ban on diesel vehicles displacing over 2000 cc, Toyota is expected to introduce a petrol variant of the Innova Crysta by this Diwali, which packs a 2.7L VVT-i four cylinder engine.
The Innova Crysta is currently offered with a 2.4L GD diesel engine that produces 149 PS & 343 Nm of torque and paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 6-speed automatic variant gets a 2.8L GD diesel engine with 174 PS & 360 Nm of torque. The 2.4 MT and 2.8 AT can average an ARAI-certified fuel consumption of 15.10 km/L and 14.29 km/L respectively.
Toyota's newest MPV measures 4,735 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,795 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Compared to the first gen model, it is 150 mm longer, 70 mm wider and 35 mm higher.
