Only a few days back, the Toyota Glanza was spied during its TVC shoot in Goa. Now, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has just dropped another, longer teaser video of the hatchback.
The video clearly shows the front-end of the Toyota Glanza, giving the first official look at the unique radiator grille with dual horizontal chrome slats. Interestingly, this is the only visual difference between the Toyota Glanza and its donor car, the Maruti Baleno. The rest of the design is the same. The uploaded video description reads "Switch off work, switch on play" which signifies that Toyota aims to target this car at the young buyers in the age group of 25 to 35 years.
Spy shots have revealed that the Toyota Glanza carries the same interior as that of the Maruti Baleno. From the dashboard layout to the infotainment system and the instrument cluster, to even the upholstery, everything is the same. The only difference is the Toyota branding, which is seen on the outside too. While Maruti Suzuki sells the Baleno in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha grades, the Toyota Glanza will be available in G and V grades, which will be equivalent of the Zeta and Alpha grades respectively.

The Toyota Glanza will have no mechanical changes. The 1.2L VVT N/A four-cylinder petrol powertrain churning out 61 kW (82.94 PS) of maximum power and 113 Nm of torque will be available in the rebadged car. This engine will be paired with a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT. The other engine on offer may be the new 1.2L Dual Jet Dual VVT N/A four-cylinder petrol unit which works in-conjunction with the dual-battery Progressive Smart Hybrid mild-hybrid system. This engine produces 66 kW (89.74 PS) and 113 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed MT.
The Toyota Glanza will be launched on 6 June this year.
