Introduces an all-new petrol engine for Tata Motors.
Facebook user Dhananjayan G Kausshik? has presented a sporty take on the Tata Zica, featuring the usual dynamic touches seen in sports hatchbacks. The regular Tata Zica is expected to launch in the first week of January 2016.
First up, the Zica is presented in the Tata Bolt's Venetian Red shade, and gets a dull finish for its alloy wheels. Up front, the headlights sport integrated LED daytime running lights, while the sides feature a body decal along the crease line. The rendering also adds a ?floating roof? concept thanks to the blackened C-Pillars, which is seen on the Tata Bolt.
While the Zica will be positioned beneath the Bolt when launched, it will introduce an all-new Revotron petrol engine that is technologically superior to that of the Bolt?s 1.2-liter turbocharged Revotron unit. (essentially the older Xeta series engine with a turbocharger strapped on).
The Zica gets an all-aluminium three- cylinder 1.2-liter non-turbo engine with MPFI and variable valve timing. The result is that this unit develops 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque, though Tata is yet to reveal the ARAI-tested fuel efficiency figures for the small car. The Zica diesel will be powered by a 1.05-liter three-cylinder Revotorq engine capable of 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque.
Tata has confirmed that the Zica will be equipped with features such as dual SRS airbags, ABS, EBD, Multi-Drive, 2-DIN infotainment system with navigation, reverse parking sensors and steering mounted audio controls with voice command. Dealerships are yet to accept bookings for the Zica.
