Expected to debut an all-new petrol engine.
Following a leak of images that showed off the exterior and interior, the official images of the Tata Zica were released today on social media.
The Zica, which derives its name from 'Zippy Car', will be premiered to the media later in the week, though its market launch is set for early-2016, with reports suggesting an introduction in the first week of January 2016.
Based on an extensively modified version of the Indica's platform, the Zica will be positioned below the Bolt, and will replace the Indica in the private passenger vehicles market (the Indica is expected to continue in the commercial segment). It will rival small hatchbacks like the Hyundai i10, Maruti Celerio and the Chevrolet Beat.
Power for the Zica is expected to come from an all-new three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine, and a three-cylinder 1.05-liter diesel engine which is basically a scaled-down unit of Tata's 1.4-liter four-cylinder unit. The engines are expected to be paired with manual and automated manual transmissions.

Interior images of the Zica have revealed Tata's now-traditional, short-diameter, three-spoke steering wheel, integrated music controls, a 2-DIN music system, chrome door handles, front and rear power windows, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and a rear wiper and washer.
