Tata Motors today unveiled a special edition of its compact sedan Zest on account of its first anniversary. The edition, based on the Tata Zest XMS variant is priced at INR 15,000 in addition to the XMS, thereby retailing at INR 5.89 lakh for the petrol and INR 6.94 lakh for the diesel variant (both prices ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
On offer are, Tata Motors claims, equipment worth INR 31,000. On the exterior, the anniversary edition will feature 'Anniversary' theme body graphics, 'Anniversary Edition' badge on the C-pillar, new wheel covers, piano black OVRMs, and front lower bumper in body colour. Also available is a new body colour, Vocal White.
On the inside, the Zest will get anniversary embroidery on the front seats, scuff plate with illumination for the front, powered rear curtain with remote, and a bottle holder on the floor console.
These features are in addition to the features in the current XMS variant, which include front airbags, ABS with EBD, engine immobilizer, manual aircon, fabric seats, power windows, electrically adjustable OVRMs, 2 DIN infotainment system with 6 speakers and USB compatibility, and steering mounted controls.
The petrol Zest is powered by Tata's 1.2-liter Revotron engine that makes 89 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel variant gets 1.3-liter Fiat diesel engine which produces 89 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque.
