IAB Report – Tata Zest launched at INR 4.64 lakhs

Tata Motors today launched its much anticipated Zest compact sedan at prices mentioned below:

The Zest is available with a petrol and a diesel engine option.

Tata Zest Petrol Prices:

  1. Tata Zest XE – INR 4.64 lakhs
  2. Tata Zest XM – INR 5.25 lakhs
  3. Tata Zest XMS – INR 5.43 lakhs
  4. Tata Zest XT – INR 5.99 lakhs

Tata Zest Diesel Prices:

  1. Tata Zest 75 PS XE – INR 5.64 lakhs
  2. Tata Zest XM – INR 6.27 lakhs
  3. Tata Zest AMT XMA – INR 6.99 lakhs
  4. Tata Zest XMS – INR 6.45 lakhs
  5. Tata Zest XT – INR 6.99 lakhs

[Note: Prices are ex-Showroom, Delhi.]

The Zest is available with a petrol and a diesel engine. The petrol engine is Tata’s new turbocharged 1.2-liter Revotron engine which is capable of producing 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 140 Nm of torque, and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel Zest makes use of the Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet engine to make 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel is available with a 5-speed manual or a segment first 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). A base diesel variant in the 75 PS tune is also available.

The Revotron engine is good for 17.6 km/l and the 90 PS diesel engine (in the manual variants) is rated at 23 km/l (ARAI figures).

Based on the Vista’s platform, the compact sedan rivals cars such as the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent. The Zest is produced at the Tata-Fiat joint venture plant located in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.

        Thanks Shrawan! The airbags are available with XMS and XT variants. Surprisingly, it is not available with XMA (Diesel AMT). I am not sure if the safety pack (S) is available with XMA?

      Awesome ….mouth watering pricing…..really Tata’s going to recapture Indian market share….If they can price Zest at such competitive price…..what about Bolt????? Wait and watch the fun in Indian Automobile market….
