Latheesh of Team-BHP forums has posted images of a Tata Tigor JTP showcased at the authorised dealership in Bengaluru. He reports that the test drives of the JTP-tuned versions of the Tigor and the Tiago are expected to commence shortly. The performance-tuned versions of the Tiago and its compact sedan sibling launched last month at INR 6.39 lakh & INR 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), respectively.
The Tata Tigor JTP and its hatchback sibling are powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that outputs a maximum power of 114 PS at 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 150 Nm between 2,000-4,000 rpm. The motor comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with optimised 1st, 3rd, and final drive ratios for brisk acceleration. The JTP twins offer two driving modes - City and Sport.

As per the manufacturer, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.95 seconds and 10.30 seconds, respectively. The top speed has been capped at 160 km/h. The duo features a performance-tuned suspension and a 4 mm lower ride height for sportier dynamics.
Visually, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP are sportier than their regular versions. Styling highlights include a hood vent, updated grille, 15-inch alloy wheels, side skirts, twin-barrel muffler cutter, and dual-tone paint schemes. On the inside, the go-faster cars feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, aluminium sports pedals, black fabric seat covers having a red hexagonal motif, red double stitching and JTP branding and red double stitching on the gearshift gaiter.

The Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP are available only in these cities - Kolkata, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kannur, Thrissur, Mumbai, and Cochin.
