The Tata Harrier is the first production model to embody the IMPACT 2.0 design language.

The latest spy shot gives a clear look at the Tata Harrier’s profile and rear-end. On the sides, the bulging fenders, and a notably high ground clearance give a compelling look the SUV. The upswept beltline makes the greenhouse sleeker towards the rear, lending a sense of sportiness. At the back, the Jaguar-style elegant tail lamps float outwards to the sides and a large skid plate underlines the toughness. As for the interior, a floating central display is visible in the spy shot.

The Tata Harrier is underpinned by a modified version of JLR’s D8 platform. The first production model to embody the IMPACT 2.0 design language uses two more components from other automakers. The engine is from FCA, the 140 PS 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbocharged diesel mill. Tata Motors, however, has branded it ‘Kryotec’. The 6-speed automatic transmission, which is expected as an option to a 6-speed manual transmission, comes from Hyundai. An AWD system is unlikely, even as an option.
