All three models unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016.
In an interview with ET Auto, S.N Barman, VP of sales and network (passenger vehicles) at Tata Motors has confirmed that the company will launch three new products within 12-18 months.
The products in question are likely to be the Tata Nexon, Tata Kite 5, and Tata Hexa. All three models were unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 in their production-spec form. The Tata Hexa is expected to arrive first, as reports are narrowing it down to a launch in June 2016.
As for the Tata Nexon, a tentative launch date has still not been divulged, although reports suggest that the Nexon will arrive before the Tata Kite 5 sedan. The Nexon could be launched in the market before/during the festive period to benefit from the spike of car sales usually observed during that period.
The Tiago-based Tata Kite-5 sedan is also expected to launch during the festive season, and is the company’s third sub-4m sedan, following the Tata Zest and Indigo eCS. Reports speculate that it could be called Dribble, Canvas or Ingrid.
