Tata Motors' commercial vehicle division has announced the appointment of LLC TML Truck RUS, as the exclusive distributor of its commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation. The Indian automaker has been selling trucks in Russia for a while and the appointment of an official distributor is expected increase its presence in the region.
TML Truck RUS will establish the Tata brand name in the region with initial outlets in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Over the course of next five years, the company is planning to establish a parts warehouse and 60 touch points across key regions of the Federation. Tata Motors will launch light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles through the new entity.
Mr. Albert Yagudin, Commercial Director TML TRUCK RUS said that apart from distributing and offering after-sales support for Tata commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation, the firm will also offer attractive finance and leasing schemes.
Tata Motors has recently refreshed its Ace LCV and would be launching new variants of the mid-premium Ultra (MCVs) and Prima (HCVs) in India. These vehicles are expected to be exported to Russia as well.
