Powered by the 2.2L diesel engine
Ahead of its mid-January 2017 launch, the micro-site for the Tata Hexa is now up-and-running. Prospective buyers can register their contact details, and arrange for a call-back, as bookings for the Hexa start on November 1, 2016.
According to a report last week, the Tata Hexa will, reportedly, cost INR 17.49 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Pune for the top-end XT 4×4 MT variant and INR 17.44 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Pune for the top-end automatic variant, the XTA 4×2 AT. Both, AT and MT variants will feature a 6-speed box.
A 2.2-liter four-cylinder VariCOR diesel engine capable of 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,700-2,700 rpm powers the Tata Hexa. In case of the MT variant, a Super Drive Mode with four driving modes - Auto, Rough Road, Dynamic and Comfort - will be offered. The Super Drive Mode will allow the driver to adjust the engine's characteristics by altering the interference level of the ESP, Tata Motors announced.

Key features of the Tata Hexa will include 19-inch alloy wheels, projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, 10-speaker JBL music system with a touchscreen navigation, Captains chairs for the second row, 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP and Hill Hold system.
