Tata Motors is now gearing up to launch the GenX Nano, which is expected to take place later this month (reportedly, May 19th). Thanks to IAB reader, Mohamed Shahid Hussain, we have the first pictures of the all new GenX Nano arriving at respective dealers, awaiting customers post launch.
The new iteration of the Nano features vital upgrades that uplift the versatility and appeal of the hatchback. For starters, the Nano finally comes with a functional bootlid that opens up to access the 110 liter luggage compartment (94 liter for the AMT version). Then there's the new front and rear bumper designs that not only complements the final design, but also the cooling aids.
The interior of the Nano GenX gets a host of cosmetic improvements, including a new steering wheel that looks nearly identical to the ones in the Zest and Bolt. Tata claims that they have upped the ‘perceived quality’ of some of the plastic trim used, as well as the standard equipment offered.
The 2015 Tata GenX Nano packs the same twin-cylinder 624 cc engine delivering of 38.19 PS at 5,500 rpm and 51 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A first for the Nano range is the inclusion of a 5-speed AMT unit, while regular models come standard with a 4-speed manual transmission.

Prices for Tata's latest city hatchback will be announced at its launch. Bookings for the Tata GenX Nano with AMT have already begun in respective dealers for INR 5000.
