The Nano AMT delivers 21.9 km/l.
Dealers of Tata Motors have started accepting bookings for the Tata GenX Nano. The booking amount is INR 5,000, several dealers told Indian Autos Blog.
Ahead of its launch, expected to take place in the coming weeks, Tata has released the first official images of the GenX Nano on its social media channels. The GenX Nano borrows its styling from the Nano F-Tronic and Nano Active concepts that were showcased at the Auto Expo last year.
A new front bumper with a 'smiley' airdam and circular foglight enclosures, smoked headlight clusters, and a black grille ornament lend the Nano facelift a fresh look. Other exterior cosmetic changes include a new rear bumper, a function bootlid with a redesigned rear windscreen and the inclusion of a new 'Sangria Red' color.

Apart from the functional bootlid, the other highlight of the GenX Nano will be its Easy Shift transmission, which is nothing but an automated manual gearbox. The Nano AMT will return an ARAI-certified 21.9 km/l and will get a larger 24 liter fuel tank (the current Nano has a 15 liter tank capacity).
