Premium B-hatchback segment set to get yet another contender.
The Tata Bolt hatchback was spotted on test in Lavasa, Maharashtra, recently by Car Wale. Seen here is a production-ready prototype, complete with fitting bumpers and light clusters as compared to pre-production test mules with dummy body elements that were previously spotted.
The Bolt in these images lacks projector headlights and alloy wheels. However, the dashboard of the car is finished in an Orange color, indicating that Tata could offer a choice of dashboard colors when the car goes on sale by the end of this year.
The Bolt will be powered by the 1.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol engine and the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced Multijet diesel engine. The petrol engine will have power outputs of 85 PS and 140 Nm of torque, while the diesel will make 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque. Both engines will come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
