IAB reader Manjunath Venky has shared a new spy shot of the Tata 45X on IAB's Facebook page. Last week, spy shots from Team-BHP forum member soumobakshi gave a glimpse of the car's interior.
The Tata 45X (Tata X451 or Tata Aquilla) features a dash-top touchscreen infotainment system that will likely offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The cabin is entirely in black, but a two-tone scheme can be expected in the range-topping XZ grade. While the Tata Harrier features a semi-digital instrument cluster, the Tata 45X uses analogue gauges to keep the costs in check.
Exterior highlights of the new hatchback will likely include sleek headlamps and tail lamps, pillar-mounted rear door handles, 16-inch alloy wheels and power-folding mirrors. The 45X, introduced as a dramatic concept at Auto Expo 2018, is the first model Tata Motors is developing on the basis of the Advanced Modular Platform or 'Alfa-ARC'. Reports suggest that the hatchback will debut a new 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a mild-hybrid system and eventually a dual-clutch automatic transmission. A 1.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission options will come at the launch.

The Tata 45X will replace the 2014 Tata Bolt, which has failed to give any competition to segment-leading models Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20. Prices could start at around INR 5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) with the launch said to take place next August.
