The Japanese car maker has said very little about the SUV, as it wants to save up all the details for the show. However, the company says that the Vitara "combines Suzuki's authentic SUV design with ALLGRIP 4WD, body and trim personalisation, advanced technologies and favourable fuel economy."
Suzuki also makes it clear that the Vitara takes inspiration from the iV-4 concept revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
Like the S-Cross, the Vitara could source power from 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines, matched to manual and CVT gearboxes.
The Vitara would enter production at Suzuki's Magyar plant in Hungary early next year. An Indian launch is not on the cards at the moment as to feed the SUV segment, Maruti is preparing to launch the SX4 S-Cross early next year, and the production XA-Alpha sometime in 2016.
