Suzuki Motor Corporation has showcased three India-related models at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Suzuki SX4 S-Cross
Launched in European markets at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the S-Cross is confirmed to launch in India next year. Slotting above the Maruti Ciaz, the car is 4.3 m long, 1.76 m wide, 1.58 m tall, and is built on a wheelbase of 2.6 m. In Europe, the car is powered by 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines that come in 2WD and 4WD variants.
The 1.6-liter petrol engine puts out 118 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 156 Nm at 4,400 rpm. It can be purchased with either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Features on the high-end S-Cross variant are 7 airbags, ESP, four-mode driving program, 430 liter boot space, 170 mm ground clearance, 17-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, projector headlight and daytime running lamps.
Suzuki Celerio
Replacing the India-built Maruti Alto (A-Star), the Thai-made Celerio, which premiered for Europe at the Geneva Motor Show in March was displayed with a black body kit. Matte-finished grille, side body mouldings, wheel arch extensions, roof spoiler and dual 6-spoke alloy wheels complete the look of the car.
Powered by a 1-liter petrol engine matched to a five-speed manual or a CVT, the Celerio will replace the Alto in Europe early next year.
Suzuki Swift Sport
The sportier iteration of the long-running Swift strapped with a 1.6-liter engine that generates 134.1 hp and 160 Nm of torque was also on display in the three-door body style.
