Next gen Swift to debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Top Gear reports that the current Suzuki Swift Sport will be discontinued this year to make way for the next gen model that will arrive next year. The 2017 Suzuki Swift will make its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, reportedly.
The Suzuki Swift Sport is one of the last naturally aspirated hot hatchbacks, packing a 1.6L four cylinder engine producing 134 hp and 118 lb-ft (160 Nm) of torque. It is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox and can be spec'd with Suzuki's ALLGRIP AWD system.
The next gen Suzuki Swift Sport will follow the path taken by many established hatchbacks - turbocharging. It's reported to get an uprated version of the K14C-DITC 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 103 kW (138.07 hp) and 220 Nm of torque in the Suzuki Vitara S. Like the outgoing model it could also be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The exterior styling of the next gen Suzuki Swift Sport was leaked earlier this year, featuring an upright front end with a gaping hexagonal grille, larger intakes, smaller headlamps with LED DRLs, and large alloy wheels. The rear-end gets a roof spoiler, dual exhaust pipes, and a floating roof impression.
