The Gixxer SF is powered by the same carburetor-fed 154.9 cc single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine as the regular Gixxer. This engine makes 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, matched to a 5-speed transmission.
The Gixxer SF measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width, 1,085 mm in height and 1,330 mm in wheelbase. The faired motorcycle has a ground clearance of 160 mm and a kerb weight of 139 kg (4 kg heavier than the standard Gixxer).
Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks up front and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock suspension. The Gixxer SF is shod with a 100/80 tyre for the front and a 140/60 at the rear on 17-inch rims. A single disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear take care of retardation.
The Gixxer SF will be offered in three colors at the time of launch: Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White and Glass Sparkle Black.
