Likely to be priced INR 1,500 more than the single-tone colors.
According to a report on Shifting Gears, Suzuki will soon launch two dual-tone colors on the Gixxer premium commuter motorcycle. A red-and-white shade and a blue-and-white shade will be available on the Gixxer, with prices expected to be about INR 1,500 more than the standard version (the regular Gixxer is priced at INR 83,402, on-road, New Delhi).
The Gixxer is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled four-stroke engine displacing 154.9 cc and developing 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, matched to a 5-speed transmission. A front disc brake is offered as standard on the motorcycle.
It is presently offered in colors such as Metallic Triton Blue, Candy Antares Red, Metallic Oort Grey, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White.
Based on the Gixxer, Suzuki launched the Gixxer SF, a fully-faired variant of the two-wheeler priced between INR 92,596-94,238, on-road, New Delhi. A special MotoGP edition was also launched on the Gixxer SF which commemorates Suzuki's return to MotoGP racing this year.
