The automatic version of the Suzuki Ertiga MPV has been launched in the Indonesian market.
According to PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, the on-road price starts at Rp 173.8 million (around 9.6 lakhs) and ends at Rp 185.8 million (around 10.26 lakhs).
Meanwhile, for the manual transmission version the MPV has a starting price of Rp148 million (8.17 lakhs) and goes all the way up to Rp 174.8 million (around 9.65 lakhs).
The Ertiga for the Indonesian market is being shipped from India in the form of CKD kits which are assembled at Suzuki’s local facility in Jakarta. Suzuki premiered the Ertiga AT in Thailand in mid-March which became the second overseas destination for the family van after the manual variant premiered in Indonesia last year.
The Swift-based Ertiga is powered by a K14B engine that comprises of variable valve timing technology (VVT) and produces a maximum power output of 95PS at 6,000rpm and peak torque of 130Nm at 4,000rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
Feature wise, the Ertiga gets dual SRS airbags, anti-lock braking system with EBD and can accommodate seven passengers. There are eight color choices available for the automatic version namely serene blue metallic, radiant red pearl, pearl white, metallic silky silver, graphite gray metallic, black metallic cool, dusky brown metallic and red pearl burgundy.
The re-badged version of Ertiga will be the Mazda VX-1 and it expected to enter the highly competitive Indonesian MPV market in the coming weeks.
