Three models are available initially.
The Tata Ultra range of mid-premium light and intermediate commercial vehicles has been launched in Sri Lanka by Diesel and Motors Engineering PLC, the official importer of Tata vehicles in the neighbouring country.
The initial lineup includes the Ultra 612, Ultra 812 and Ultra 912 which have GVWs of 6, 8 and 9 tonnes respectively. Each model is available in three load body lengths - 14, 17 and 20 feet. The company has announced more body lengths would be made available in the future.
The trucks are powered by the Tata 497 TCIC common rail diesel engine that generates 125 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The transmission is a GB500 6-speed unit.
The notable features of the Ultra range include rolled chassis made of high tensile strength steel, industry-first front disc brakes, multi-info display, LED taillights, dashboard mounted gear lever, tilt, telescopic and collapsible steering and optional AC.

The color options available are Arctic White, Arizona Blue and Sardinia Red. The India-made commercial vehicles are offered with a warranty of 3 years/300,000 km and 24x7 roadside assistance.
