The Indian website has been updated to reflect the model.
Speaking to several Skoda dealer showrooms in India, it appears that some have started accepting bookings for the Skoda Kodiaq SUV, with deposits varying between INR 20,000 - INR 51,000. It's surprising to see dealers accepting booking nearly 5 months before the Kodiaq even arrives at showrooms.
Dealer reps have also confirmed that the Kodiaq will launch in both petrol and diesel variants, although haven't provided further details like variant walk, powertrains or expected pricing. Reports suggest that the Kodiaq can be had with a 132 kW (180 PS) 2.0-litre TSI petrol, 110 kW (150 PS) 2.0-litre TDI diesel, or 140 kW 2.0-litre TDI diesel (190 PS) engine, paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic transmissions. An all-wheel drive system could be available in the top-end diesel variant.
In the European cycle, the 2.0 TDI variant (150 PS) with a 7-speed DSG can average a fuel economy of 20 km/L (56.5 mpg), while the 2.0 TSI petrol can average a fuel mileage of 13.52 km/L (38.2 mpg). Expect the Indian figures to be slightly lower.
