The Skoda Kodiaq was spied testing for the first time in India last month, and now, it has appeared once again in spy shots captured during local testing, courtesy Autocar India. The Skoda Kodiaq is one of the four new models the Czech automaker will launch in India this year.
The Skoda Kodiaq is the production version of the Skoda Vision S concept and the company's first-ever mid-size SUV. Like the Skoda Octavia and Skoda Superb, the Skoda Kodiaq is underpinned by the Volkswagen Group's versatile MQB platform. The Kodiaq measures 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm in width and 1,676 mm in height. It wheelbase spans 2,791 mm.
The Skoda Kodiaq was introduced in Europe with three TSI petrol engines and two TDI diesel engines. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 6-speed DSG automatic and 7-speed DSG automatic. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain configuration, but an all-wheel drive system is available in most engine models.
The Indian-spec Skoda Kodiaq could get the 132 kW (180 PS) 2.0-litre TSI petrol, 110 kW (150 PS) 2.0-litre TDI diesel and 140 kW (190 PS) engines, along with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic transmissions. Drivetrain configuration choices include front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
Noteworthy features of the Skoda Kodiaq include full LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, tail lights with LED clusters, surround parking sensors, reversing camera with washer, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, PhoneBox for with wireless charging, Canton Sound System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Rear Traffic Alert.

Skoda India will likely import the Kodiaq in CKD form and assemble it in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Prices are expected to start from around INR 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
