The Royal Enfield Continental GT, the cafe racer that is testing intensely India, is expected to made its debut in the UK before India.
Bertrand D'souza, Editor, Overdrive.in has tweeted stating the cafe racer will be launched in the UK this September and the India plans are not yet ready. Aided by its new plant near Chennai, Royal Enfield is in the process of consolidating its production capacity and reducing the waiting period for its entire lineup.
The Continental GT will be produced at the Oragadam plant which went on stream a few months ago. The motorcycle will be the fastest, lightest and the most powerful Royal Enfield in the recent times.
Unlike other products in the portfolio, the Continental GT is not exactly a tourer but a retro styled, race focused sportsbike. The aggressive riding position, clip on handlebars and adjustable foot pegs give you an idea of its intention.
Powered by a 535cc single cylinder liquid cooled 4-stroke engine whose power output is yet to be announced, the cafe racer would be capable of some serious performance stats.
Considering that the Royal Enfield Continental GT is going to UK in September we hope it's not long before we are able get our hands on it.
