Prices start at INR 4.5 crore (ex-showroom Chennai).
Rolls Royce today launched the Ghost Series II in Chennai, which will soon be available to order through the sole distributor, KUN Exclusive. Similar to the models available in other states, the facelift is priced at INR 4.5 crores (ex-showroom Chennai).
On the design front, the new Ghost brings minimal changes to the exterior, with a redesigned set of headlamps and LED DRLs, a tweaked front bumper, chrome inserts in the air intakes and new alloy wheel patterns. Otherwise, it's the same familiar design that commands respect - a characteristic of a Rolls Royce.
Likewise, the interior also features very minimal changes. Two new wood veneers, an upgraded infotainment system with on-board WiFi, a high resolution 10.2-inch display, and a touchpad controller round up the updates.
The Series II will come in two basic variants - a standard wheelbase model (3,295 mm wheelbase, pictured above) and a long wheelbase version, which measures 5,569 mm in length, 1,948 mm in width, 1,550 mm in height and 3,465 mm in wheelbase. In India, it's the long-wheelbase model that has more demand than the standard wheelbase.
Powering the Ghost Series II is the same 6.6-liter V12 engine producing 563 bhp and 780 Nm of torque. With the facelift, the Ghost now comes with a feature borrowed from the 2-door Wraith - an 8-speed automatic transmission that pre-selects the gear based on the road ahead by using GPS positioning and the car's onboard navigation. Rolls Royce claims that the Ghost Series II accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds and achieves a top-speed of 250 km/h.
