Revolt Motors has announced that the RV 400 and RV 300 are sold out till October 2019. The company is now accepting bookings for production between November 2019 to February 2020. However, it has not revealed the booking numbers of the motorcycles. The Revolt RV 400 was available to pre-order from 25 July 2019. Revolt Motors confirms that 90% of the customers have opted for the Revolt RV 400 Premium.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer unveiled a surprise lower-priced Revolt RV300 last week. Just like the more powered RV 400, it is based on the Chinese Super Soco TC. The RV 300 is powered by a 1.5 kW hub-based motor that gets its juice from a 60-volt, 2.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Revolt RV300 has a range of 180 km and a top speed of 65 km/h.
The Revolt RV 400 is driven by a more powerful, 3 kW motor which beats with a 72-volt, 3.24 kWh battery. This lithium-ion unit offers a maximum range of 150 km. The top speed is 85 km/h, which puts the Revolt RV 400 at par with most 125 cc motorcycles. Besides that, Revolt Motors will also be offering a swappable (fully-charged) battery orderable via smartphone.
Both the bikes have similar styling and are suspended over upside-down fork up front. The rear gets a monoshock unit with adjustable preload. Brakes include discs at both ends and with CBS (Combined Braking System) adding to the safety net. Revolt Motors is also offering a higher spec version of RV 400 (called as RV 400 Premium). This trim additionally features a remote key function and selectable exhaust note.
Revolt dealerships are currently operational in Delhi. The company has confirmed via its social media channels that the Pune touchpoints will be active by the end of this week. Also, Revolt Motors is currently working on a café-racer styled motorcycle which it teased last week.
