At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Renault flaunted the luxury its cars offer with showcasing the Renault Espace Initiale Paris. 'Initiale Paris' is used to connote the range-topping trim on Renault carlines, and the Clio in the same spec was shown at the Paris Salon last year.
Exterior features on the Espace Initiale Paris include exclusive Amethyste Black body paint, distinctive and bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels, and 'Initiale' badge beneath the Renault logo in the front and at the rear in place of 'Espace'.
Interior styling and equipment level has been enhanced with full-grain Nappa leather upholstery which can be had either in Dark Brown or with a colour gradient from Lune Grey to Brown; heated, massaging front seats with 8-way electric adjustment and 2-way manual adjustment; 'Relax' headrests for first and second row seats; Nappa leather-trimmed steering wheel, door inserts and arm rests; Bose Surround Sound premium sound system; Visio System Pack which includes automatic lights, front-facing camera, lane departure warning, road sign recognition and over speed warning.
Also extended on this trim is the Advanced Safety Pack which includes safety distance warning and emergency brake assist. Seated second row seats can also be had optionally.
Engines for the Initiale Paris include the Energy TCe 200 EDC petrol engine and the Energy dCi 160 EDC diesel engine. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 147 hp and 260 Nm of torque, while the 1.6-litre diesel engine produces 118 hp and 380 Nm of torque.
In France, the Renault Espace Initiale Paris is priced from €46,300 (INR 31.52 lakhs) for the diesel variant and €44,800 (INR 30.50 lakhs) for the petrol variant.
