Would sit above the recently unveiled Kadjar.
Renault is reported to be working on a a 7-seat crossover that will sit atop the recently announced Kadjar crossover. A launch date for the said 7-seater hasn't been announced yet as "it's too early to say just yet" Jerome Stoll, Exective VP and Chief Performance Officer at Renault told Auto Express.
The flagship SUV is likely to share its underpinnings with the Nissan X-Trail, which is based on the CMF (Common Module Family) platform jointly developed by Renault and Nissan. On the design front, it won't be wrong to expect a Captur/Kadjar-like design. As for its crossover capabilities, given that Nissan offers a four wheel drive system on the X-Trail, it's very likely that the Renault branded product will get it too.
A previous report also states that the next-generation Duster (sold as Dacia Duster in some markets) will also get an optional seven seat arrangement.
Competitors: Nissan X-Trail, Hyundai Santa Fe
