Reported to launch in Malaysia in November.
Proton is set to introduce a rebadged version of the Suzuki Ertiga in Malaysia in November. Ahead of its launch, Funtasticko has uploaded spyshots that offer a first look at the Proton Ertiga (name unconfirmed).
The spyshots only reveal the rear-end of the Ertiga, which looks largely identical to the model sold in Indonesia. The only differences is the Proton badge above the rear chrome garnish and a recast bumper with a central reflector, akin to the pre-facelift model.
Inside, the design and feature list will be similar to the Suzuki Ertiga sold in Indonesia, although Proton could offer different trim and upholstery colors.
Under the hood is Suzuki's 1.4L four cylinder petrol engine with VVT that produces 92 PS power and 130 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4-speed automatic transmission.

The Swift-based MPV will be sold alongside the Proton Exora; an MPV that has been retailing in the Malaysian market since 2009. The Proton Ertiga is the first product to be introduced under the newly formed partnership between Proton and Suzuki, which will also spawn a rebadged version of the Euro-spec Suzuki Vitara or India-made Maruti Vitara Brezza in 2017.
Proton can source the Ertiga from either India or Indonesia.
