Both models in four configurations.
Proton recently updated the media about how the recent launches Proton Saga and Proton Persona are performing in the market. Both 2016 Proton Saga and 2016 Proton Persona are selling in good numbers during their launch stage.
The monthly sales target for the 2016 Proton Persona that was launched in August is 3,000 to 4,000 units. According to the PaulTan report, Proton has received over 15,000 bookings for this car and 6,000 units have already been delivered. The 2016 Proton Saga launched in September has garnered 6,000 bookings, and 1,000 units have already been delivered.
Speaking to the Malaysian publication, Rohime Shafie, CEO, Proton Edar, said that the reason behind the big difference between the bookings and deliveries is the long time it takes for the customers to secure financing. For the Proton Saga particularly, customers are required to submit more documents to get their car loan approved. The Persona customers get their loan approved in shorter time.
