Production of the current Superb started in March 2015.
Skoda Auto has announced that the Kvasiny plant has produced 100,000 units of the third generation Skoda Superb since March 2015. In total, Skoda has rolled out over 850,000 units of the Skoda Superb across three generations.
Unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and making its Indian debut last February, the 2016 Skoda Superb is one of the company's most advanced products to date, which combines the advantages of its MQB platform with generous interior space and a host of new features.
In India, the new Superb is priced from INR 24.67 Lakhs for the base Style grade to INR 30.28 Lakhs for the top-end L&K grade (both ex-showroom Mumbai). Two engine options are offered: a new 2.0-litre TDI motor capable of 177 PS & 350 Nm of torque and a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine capable of producing 180 PS & 320 Nm.

The Skoda Superb will share its flagship status this year with the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq, the company's biggest product. Making its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, the Kodiaq SUV will also be based on the MQB platform, and is likely to share the engine lineup with the Skoda Superb.
