Peugeot is showcasing the Peugeot 308 GT Line and the Peugeot 308 R HYbrid concept at the 2016 Bologa Motor Show. The former is already on sale, while the latter is intended for production.
Peugeot 208 GT Line
The Peugeot 208 GT Line, available in both 3- and 5-door versions, is inspired by the Peugeot 308 GTi. It's based on the Allure trim and features an ‘Equalizer grille’ with red 3D markings, a gloss black grille and front fog lamp finishers, Perla Nera black door mirror shells, chrome window surrounds, 17-inch Caesium diamante alloy wheels and a chrome exhaust finisher. The GT Line trim also has GT Line badges on the grille, front wings and tailgate, along with red PEUGEOT lettering front and rear.
The Peugeot 208 GT Line gets a sporty interior with aluminium PEUGEOT door sill finishers, aluminium pedals, gloss black door handles with red line at the front, black and red sports seats with red stitching, red stitching on the door panels and gear lever gaiter/grip, flat-bottomed, leather sports steering wheel, red stitching and a satin chrome insert and black seat belts with distinctive red line.
The Peugeot 208 GT Line is available with 1.2L PureTech 110 S&S petrol, 1.6L THP 165 S&S petrol, 1.6L BlueHDi 100 diesel and 1.6L BlueHDi 120 S&S diesel engines and 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions in the UK.
Peugeot 308 R HYbrid concept
The Peugeot 308 HYbrid concept is a performance plug-in hybrid hatchback. Its powertrain comprises the 1.6-litre THP 270 S&S petrol engine and two electric motors, which together produce 500 hp and 730 Nm of torque. 0-100 is clocked in under 4.0 seconds, and the car has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Using only electric power, the car can touch a speed of 100 km/h. Despite such astounding performance figures, the performance car's CO2 emission is just 70 g/km.
