Peugeot is showcasing the second generation Peugeot 3008 at the 2016 Bologna Motor Show in Italy. Introduced at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the 3008 has transformed from an MPV into a C-SUV for its second generation. The all-new model is built in Sochaux, France.
The second generation Peugeot 3008 is based on the PSA Group's EMP2 modular platform, and so, is up to 100 kg lighter compared to the first generation model. The all-new 3008 measures 4,447 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width and 1,624 mm in height (with roof racks), and has a wheelbase of 2,675 mm and a ground clearance of 219 mm.
The redesigned Peugeot 3008 is available with 96 kW (128.69 hp) 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder and 121 kW (162.20 hp) 1.6-litre THP four-cylinder petrol engines and 73 kW/88 kW (97.86 hp/117.97 hp) 1.6-litre BlueHDi and 110 kW/133 kW (147.45 hp/178.28 hp) 2.0-litre BlueHDi four-cylinder diesel engines. Transmission choices include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
The all-new Peugeot 3008's features include full LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, 10-speaker sound system, Visio Park 360-degree around view monitor, Active Lane Departure Warning, Active Safety Brake and Distance Alert, Active Blind-spot Monitoring, Speed Limit recognition and Driver Attention Warning.
