Nissan returns to Europe's fiercely contested C-Segment market.
Launched a few months earlier in Europe, the Nissan Pulsar C-Segment hatchback has been presented at the 2014 Paris Motor Show alongside the Pulsar NISMO Concept.
The car sports a segment-leading and rear-seat friendly 4,385 mm length and 2,700 mm wheelbase and is decked with features like a five-inch display and an optional seven-inch NissanConnect 2 infotainment.
The rival to the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus is powered by three engines - a 1.2-liter turbo petrol that develops 115 PS and 190 Nm, a 1.5-liter diesel (K9K) that develops 110 PS and 260 Nm, and starting next year, a 1.6-liter turbo petrol with 190 PS and 240 Nm. All variants pair to a six-speed gearbox, while CVT is optional.
The newly announced 190 PS 1.6 DIG-T has a fuel consumption of 16.66 kmpl and CO2 emissions of 138 g/km.
Automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, auto AC, steering-mounted controls, LED headlamps and privacy glass come on the top-end variant. Safety and driving assists include lane departure warning, moving object detection, blind spot warning and forward emergency braking.
Current prices for the Pulsar range between £15,995 and £20,345 (INR 15.72 lakhs to INR 20 lakhs). You can find more info on the 190 PS Pulsar in the press release section.
