A design study.
The performance-oriented Nissan Pulsar NISMO has been revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Based on the new Pulsar hatchback, the Pulsar NISMO seems a likely rival for the Ford Focus ST and VW Golf GTI.
Designers have made the Pulsar look much more sporty with aggressively styled bumpers sporting larger air intakes, different LED headlights, a new central grille, body skirts, lower ride height and 19-inch alloy wheels. The performance oriented hatchback is finished in satin grey with red accents.
Other NISMO-specific elements include a rear diffuser with central dual exhausts, carbon fibre rear spoiler, flared wheel arches and tinted rear combination lights.
Inside, the Pulsar NISMO Concept highlights its sporty intentions in the form of a red coloured tachometer, sculpted sports seats trimmed in Alcantara, a three-spoke steering wheel and faux carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard and door pads.
Nissan says that the Pulsar NISMO is still a design concept but the brand is committed to expanding its portfolio of high performance models. The company has not revealed the powertrain options or performance details of the concept.
