TVS Motor Company has launched the 2019 TVS Apache RTR 180 and the 2019 TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS in the Indian market. The motorcycle is available in five colour options - Pearl White, Gloss Black, T Grey, Matte Blue and Matte Red. The non-ABS variant of the Apache RTR 180 is priced at INR 84,578* while the Apache RTR 180 ABS version is available at INR 95,392*

The MY2019 Apache RTR 180 comes with race inspired graphics, a white back-lit speedometer with dial-art, novel Alcantara like finish seats, a crash guard with integrated frame sliders and a forged handlebar end weights. The TVS Apache RTR 180 is also the first in class to introduce Dual-channel ABS in the Indian market.
Apart from the changes listed above, the 2019 TVS Apache features an identical spec sheet. The motorcycle is built around a Double Cradle Synchro STIFF chassis. Telescopic Forks with Hydraulic Dampers (105 mm Stroke) at the front and Monotube Inverted Gas-filled shocks (MIG) with spring aid at the rear keep the bike stable.
The well-received styling cues include the sharp design for the headlight and a wind deflector at the front. The halogen headlight is accompanied by LED DRLs. Clip-on style handlebar offers sportier ergonomics. Fuel tank extensions add a muscular look to the overall package.
The 177.4cc, SI, 4-stroke, air-cooled, carburettor engine delivers 16.62 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The top speed is rated at 114 km/h. Stopping power comes from a 270 mm petal-type disc brake at the front and a 200 mm petal-type unit at the rear. The safety net is a Dual-Channel ABS with Rear Wheel Lift-off Protection (RLP). The rear disc comes standard on both non-ABS and ABS versions.

The motorcycle brand recently breached the 3 million units sales milestone, and the refresh is part of the celebration. The TVS Apache RTR 180 was adjudged the Most Appealing Premium Motorcycle by J.D. Power (Asia-Pacific) Quality survey in 2016. In 2018, it was adjudged the highest ranked Premium motorcycle in Initial Quality.
