Mitsubishi Pajero Sport to get interior changes in Indonesia

Mitsubishi started assembling the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport at the Cikarang plant in Indonesia this year. Now, the company is about to make some improvements to the SUV, says a report from Autonetmagz.

The Indonesian-spec Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will receive a number of interior and safety equipment.

The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport's interior will get feature changes as per a leaked document. These include the use of a piano black panel with black trim instead of a wood panel, updated AC buttons, new look for the AC's digital display and new upholstery design and cupholders in the second row.

The new model will feature Ultrasonic Mis-acceleration Mitigation, cruise control, door ajar warning image in the MID, passenger airbag indicator and a warning lamp for the washer fluid level.

The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport comes with the 4N15 2.4-litre MIVEC and the 4D56 2.5-litre DI diesel engines in the archipelago. The 2.4-litre engine produces 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2.5-litre engine develops 136 PS and 324 Nm of torque. 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic are the transmission choices for this engine. A 4WD system is available in both engine models.

LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, power ORVMs and sunroof are the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport's exterior highlights. Electrically adjustable seats, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, AVM and dual-zone auto AC are among the key interior features. Prices start at Rp 447,000,000 (INR 21,55,830.80) and go up to Rp 658,000,000 (INR 31,73,460.11).

The new Pajero Sport is reportedly heading to India in April 2018. The model will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Isuzu MU-X.
