India-bound MG Motor will use the Auto China 2018 (2018 Beijing Motor Show) stage to unveil the MG X-Motion. Just days before the SUV’s debut, the company has released the concept's first teasers and a sketch.
The teasers show the MG X-Motion concept featuring slim headlamps and tail lamps, diamond-studded front grille, strong shoulders, integrated roof bars and a sloping roofline. The MG X-Motion is expected to evolve into a production SUV bigger than the MG GS and thus slot at the top of MG’s line-up. The company hasn’t revealed details so far, though.
According to a report from CarNewsChina, the MG X-Motion concept’s production version will ride on the Roewe RX8’s platform. The Roewe RX8 itself is based on a slightly shortened version of the Maxus D90’s platform. Maxus, Roewe and MG are the brands of the same parent company - SAIC.

Like the MG ZS and MG GS, MG will likely sell the X-Motion in markets other than China as well. MG Motor will enter the market with an SUV in Q2 2019.
