Priced at INR 60 lakh and INR 2.25 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet and Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet in India. They are sold in single feature-packed variants and priced at INR 60 lakh and INR 2.25 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
This brings the total Mercedes convertibles on sale to four (other two being the E Class Cabriolet and SLC 43), making Mercedes-Benz the only manufacturer in India to offer a wider range of convertible options. Both CBU imports will sell in very limited volumes in the Indian market, so the German manufacturer has no plan to localize their production.
The Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet on sale is the S500 variant, which is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 bi-turbo petrol engine producing 443 hp and 700 Nm of torque. It is paired with the 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The soft-top roof takes 20 seconds to close/open at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
The Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet is launched in the C300 variant that packs 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine also paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. It produces 241 hp and 370 Nm, and is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. Like its bigger sibling, the soft-top roof takes 20 seconds to close/open at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
