Maruti Suzuki has launched a new limited edition Wagon R for the festive season, named Wagon R Avance. While there are no mechanical changes, the new Wagon R for this Diwali gets a host of cosmetic upgrades from bumper to bumper.
On the outside, the Maruti Wagon R Avance gets loud body graphics on either side. The door handles and the rear view mirror caps are body-coloured, the roof rails are given a gunmetal finish, and the rear end is complemented with a roof-lip spoiler. The Wagon R LXi-based special edition comes without wheel covers (which will have to be bought separately from the dealers).
The interior of the new Maruti Wagon R limited edition is embellished with black & beige colour theme which includes a dual-tone dashboard, beige fabric door-trim, new beige fabric upholstery for the seats and a new gear knob. Equipment-wise, the Wagon R Avance is loaded with a double-DIN music system with Bluetooth connectivity, front & rear power windows, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, keyless-entry, and a central-locking system with security alarm that is otherwise offered only in the range-topping Wagon R VXi petrol model.
The powertrain of the Wagon R Avance is unaltered. The K10B 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine continues to produce 68 PS maximum power at 6,200 rpm and 90 Nm peak torque at 3,500 rpm, delivering upto 20.5 km/l mileage. The same engine on the 'Green' (petrol + CNG) variant, churns out 59 PS at 6,200 rpm and 77 Nm at 3,500 rpm, with a 26.6 km/kg mileage. Both models are mated to the same 5-speed manual gearbox.
The price of the new Maruti Wagon R Avance is INR 4,14,246 for LXi Petrol variant and INR 4,70,601 for LXi CNG model.

The limited edition model is available in three body colours - Silky Silver, Superior White and Glistening Grey.
