Feat achieved in just 8 months.
Maruti Suzuki has announced that it has garnered 1.72 lakh bookings for the Vitara Brezza since its launch in March. In this period, MSIL has delivered 65,000 Brezzas to customers.
This is the first time that India's largest manufacturer has achieved such a feat for a utility vehicle. Priced between INR 7.4 Lakhs - INR 9.90 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), it's no surprise that the Vitara Brezza managed to get such a high level of interest. Thanks to the Vitara Brezza's figures, sales of Maruti's utility vehicle segment has grown in three-digit percentage percent almost every month. The Brezza is also currently the best-selling UV in India.
For now, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is only available with diesel power, which comes from the familiar 1.3-litre DDiS four-cylinder engine producing 90 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. A petrol model is reported to arrive in May 2017, while an AMT option similar to the Maruti Swift Dzire's unit is in the pipeline as well.
The Vitara Brezza has been showcased in Indonesia, and has launched in Nepal. In the former, the compact SUV is confirmed to pack an automatic option, when it goes on sale reportedly next year.
