Is the best-selling UV for two consecutive months.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza has retained the title of best-selling UV in August, despite the sales figures taking a slight dip as compared to July. Maruti sold 9,554 units of the Vitara Brezza, setting a gap of 1,104 units with the second best selling UV of the month - the Hyundai Creta.
Hyundai sold 8,450 units of the Creta in August, Toyota managed to push out 8,229 examples of the Innova Crysta and the Ford EcoSport registered a total of 5,248 units sold.
In August, the Vitara Brezza helped Maruti register a growth of 142.7 percent in sales of Maruti's UV lineup over the figures of August 2015. Unlike the month of July, the total sales figures of Maruti's UV lineup has not managed to top Mahindra's overall figures, thus handing over the title of market leader in the utility vehicles segment back to the Indian manufacturer.

In August, Maruti hiked the prices of the Vitara Brezza by INR 20,000. Prices currently range from INR 7.19 Lakhs-9.88 Lakhs (previously INR 6.99-9.68 Lakhs) ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
