It seems Suzuki suddenly wants to completely take over the Indonesian auto market. After the launch of Ertiga, which has been a tremendous hit, Suzuki is planning to get the new Swift to its Indonesian showrooms.
The new Swift would be launched at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2012, which takes place in the month of September.
The new Swift would be fitted with the same engine seen on the previous gen model. The 1.5 litre 4-cylinder M15A DOHC, VVT powerhouse produces 100 PS at 6,000 rpm and 143 Nm of torque at 4,000 RPM.
Endro Nugroho, Director of Sales and Marketing of Suzuki Indonesia also mentioned that four new models are planned for the market but did not reveal any info regarding them. Could it include the 800cc car spied a few days ago in India?
