Marks the start of the festival season for Maruti.
In the surest sign that the country's largest car manufacturer is taking its regional customers seriously, Maruti Suzuki today launched the Onam Limited Edition Maruti Alto 800 in Kerala. The Onam package is available for INR 17,350.
The limited edition Alto 800 comes with a claimed 15 additional features, like reverse parking sensors, music system with speakers, power car charger, special graphics and decal, embroidered cushions, dual-tone designer seat covers, redesigned door panels, multi-colour steering cover, etc.
Additional features as part of the Onam pack include 'Race Boat Design' tissue box, designer mat, mud flaps, door sill guard, ambience light, door visor, Onam graphics, and car perfume.
The Alto is the country's largest selling passenger car at the moment and averages around 22,000 units a month. Since the start of this calendar year, the company has sold 1,38,764 units till the end of June. This is a slight increase compared to the first half of the 2014 calendar year, when 1,38,148 units were sold.

There are no technical changes to the Onam edition, with the 796cc, three-cylinder petrol mill generating 48 PS and 69 Nm paired to a five-speed manual transmission, serving under the hood.
